How it all began (history of Bear Me)

Believe it or not, the idea for BM came to Kasia during a 15 minute nap in 2009...
Yep, it was just that easy. Then came just a few months of working on a script, polishing it, a few months more for storyboards and animatics, more joyful months of animation until finally, just in time for the diploma exam, her movie was finished... In 2012.

Creation of the series (how it all began)

The idea to turn BM into a series was born in 2012, after the Polish Premiere of the movie at the 'Łodzią po Wiśle' festival.
Gregor Wacławek, a producer from Animoon had many disturbing questions about Lili and the Bear. The interest in Lili's complicated relationship and the nature of the Bear were an impulse to create the series.

The premiere of the first season of BM series will take place on YT channel in April 2014!

Technology (how simple is that?)

The technology of BM is pretty simple...
You take one awesome animation studio from Gdansk (Smacznego!), pick three to five good animators (Ania Oparkowska, Matt Wilson, Bartosz Ostrowski, Marcin Zdybel, Tomasz Dubielewicz), mix it all with a nice atmosphere, love, peace, and a pinch of pain, every day before the deadline for a new episode. Basically, we use simple tools such as Wacom tablets, Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Photoshop and of course the talented hands of our animators which... operate all of this. All of the set design, backgrounds and layouts were made by Kasia Wilk.
